Manager - Controlling Department


Coordinate the Controlling Department, staff and activities.

 

Professional Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a managerial position (3+ years) and proven abilities to grow/coordinate a team;
  • Relevant experience in a multinational financial institution with Group reporting requirements (3+ years) with good understanding of banking products;
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, very good understanding of net interest income, net fees and commissions, net trading income, cost of (credit) risk;
  • Very good command of Excel, PowerPoint (at least intermediate), solid experience in data analysis;
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Able to grow and coordinate a team of medium size;
  • Able to understand the economic substance over figures / numbers and to extract information from them anticipating management informative needs;
  • High attention to details, accuracy and deadlines;
  • Able to take initiative and deliver results;
  • Responsible, passionate , hard worker and persistent.

 

What will you do:

 

  • You will supervise, improve and develop:
    • regular & ad-hoc analysis regarding the bank’s monthly financial statements,  analysis of actual vs. budget variances, profitability by business segments and products (FTP, margin contribution scheme) ;
    • methodology for analysis and reporting on loans and deposits, net interest margin, net fees & commission income, net trading income, cost of risk, fx result etc;
    • monitoring and analysis of KPIs (current and past trends) and regulatory ratios (e.g ROA, ROE, profit drivers, cost-to-income ratio, solvency and capital adequacy ratio, risk coverage and risk ratios, etc.)
  • Coordinate planning activities (budgeting, forecasting, modelling) and provide support to business lines; 
  • Perform additional analysis of data, set up ad-hoc reports & presentations as required by management, group counterparts, business and risk units;
  • Produce value-added reporting and analysis in order to support decision making;
  • Asses business cases from a costs vs benefits perspective;
  • Organize the documentation of processes, workflows, internal norms and procedures.
